hello Stephaun,
Most of my information was garnered from a book written by Dr. Samuel Langdon in 1896-1906 on the Langdon genealogy line.
In that, he stated George Langton arrived, in Wethersfield, MA about 1636, and had four children. No mention of a spouse.
But, in talking to various others researching the line I believe his first wife was named Sarah, and she died in Wethersfield. He, then moved to Springfield and married Hannah (Lambe) Haynes, widow of Edmund Haynes, and had one child.A dau. named Esther (somestimes shown as Hester).
This is what I have learned:
George was born North? of Enland about 1598 or 1601.married (1st) wife Sarah?, in England about 1622?, and had four children.Came to America about 1636/40.Settled in Wethersfield, MA.Moved to Springfield, MA in 1646, where he maaried a 2d time 29 June 1648, to Hannah, widow of Edmund Haynes.Had one daughter, Hester, b. 22 June 1649, by Hannah.Moved to Northampton, MA in 1653 where he died 29 Dec 1676.
His children were:
John, born about 1619/24 in England.Married (2d) wife Mary (Gridley) Seymour. Died 22 July 1689.
Miss Langton (no first name found), born about 1625 in England.Married William Corbee, about 1645.
Hannah, born about 1629, in England.married Nathaniel Prichard, 4 Feb 1652.Died 17 Sep 1690.
Deliverance, born 22 Sep 1627, in England.Married Thomas Hanchett on 22 Sep 1647.Married (2d) time to Jonathon Burt on 14 Dec 1686.She died 10 June 1718, in Suffield, CT.
Shirley Langdon Wilcox, and others, has been a tremendous help in providing information.
Sincerely,
Joe
