My Grandfather was Edward Phillip Lanigan,His family were living in Clonmel-Kilkenny-Tipperary. (It is said that his father was a Wheelwright/Coachbuilder to the Royal Family? and that he actually made the coach wheels for one of the coaches? and lived into his 90's and smoked like a trooper.Another story says that he made his own coffin, kept it under his bed, and tried it for size every night?)Whether true or not tis' a nice story. I'am looking fo any relations to him. Now Edward Phillip Lanigan took part in WW1 and served in Greece, whilst there met a Greek lass Katherine and married her. My father Edward Francis Lanigan was the first of four sons and three girls to be born ( the others being John, George, William.Katey,Helen, the other girl i have no name but she emigrated to New Zealand with her husband, Katey is living in Ontario Canada. ) in a place called Anouatheni?Constantinople which is now Istanbul?in 1923. My Grandfather then lived in Dagenham London. He came to Coventry 1939-40. My name is Edward Ernest Lanigan born 30 June 1951, and have a sister Maria Brigette. I'am married to Annette Withey and have 3 girls Claire Yvonne,Samantha Jane, Penelope Louise, and one son Shaun Edward Darren. I have cousins by the names of Stuart,Karl,Ian,Stephen. Any info would be gratefully appreciated, Thank You, and may your God go with You.
