Lanigan in Ocho Rios, Jamaica W.I.

I am William Alexander Lanigan, (Alex) born December 29th 1950 in Jamaica West Indies.
There are quite a few Lanigans in Jamaica but as far as our history goes we are a bit in the dark.
We understand that three Lanigan men left from their home in Waterford, Ireland and while one went to Saskatchewan Canada, two landed in Jamaica around 1860.
The one that I am descended from would have been John Lanigan.
My father also William Alexander 1905-1973 was one of four boys married Barbara Roper resulting in myself and two sisters.
Two of my fathers brothers, Charlie & Joe, were sent to Canada in 1918 to relatives on a potato farm presumably in Saskatchewan, but came back a few years later as the land would not produce potatoes. All four boys went to Cuba to work on cattle ranches and sugar plantations returning to Jamaica about 1930. Here they settled and had their families.
If anyone can assist me with finding out more about our roots I would appreciate the feedback.
