Hi, my name is Jill A. Lanigan, I am the Grand-daughter of George A. Lanigan. His father (my Great-Grandfather) was James Lanigan & his Father (my Great-great Grandfaher) was Daniel Lanigan. Both my Grandpa Lanigan & Granny Lanigan have passed away, but I was told by my Granny that it was Daniel Lanigan that came over fom Ireland & settled in East Canada, in New Brunswick; then his son James moved out West to Saskatchewan, Canada. They settled & farmed in the Elfros, SK area. They moved to Regina, SK when my Grandpa was 16 years. There is a town in Saskatchewan named Lanigan, SK. There is also a street in Regina, SK called Lanigan Drive. I was aware that the Lanigan family originated in Wales & I had heard some of this information from my grandparents, but would love to know/learn more information.
