Seeking information on Parents and possible other siblings of Edward Lanigan.
b. May 12, 1841 Ulster, Antrim Ireland
d. 1926 Atherley, Ontario, Canada

Edward attended the Seminary in Maymouth Ireland for one year. About 1859 he went to Austrailia to work the goldrush. Edward returned to Ireland around 1863 and worked as a blacksmith.
Spouse #1 Bridget McCowan (unconfirmed)
Spouse #2 Catherine Fisher b. c 1852 a native
of Castletown, County of Donegal

Edward married Catherine Fisher and resided at Fyfennan House Killybegs, County of Donegal. They came to Canada in 1878 and settled in Egansville and then Orillia and finally Atherley, Ontario, Canada. They had 7 children, 5 of which were born in Ireland.

It is believed Edward's father died c. 1844 and his mother's last name may have been Butler. Edward was the youngest in the family.

Confirmed Siblings:
1) Michael Lanigan: settled in Rochester, New York, married with 2 daughters
2) John Lanigan: settled in Washington D.C.; not married, died 1881
