My great great grandfather was Thomas Lanigan, born C.1805 in Co. Tipperary. He emigrated to Bristol, R.I. (via Boston) on the ship Milton April 20, 1849 with his wife and six children. One was named Michael and he was listed as 15 yrs on the ship's manifest. This would have made his birthdate about 1834. I have not been able to trace Michael past the 1850 Rhode Island Federal Census.
