They must have known there was more than one! Ours goes by the name Mary MacKenzie Lanigan and she was born on Prince Edward Island (but her brothers and husband WIlliam R. Jones list Nova Scotia on some census records too.....) Her father was Thomas and mother was Ann MacKenzie (other spellings)

Anyhow, she was born about 1820 also, and for all we know, she could have been married before. The marriage with Jones was in 1850 in Chicago, IL....

Let me know if there is anything that rings a bell!
