My great great grandmother was Mary Kirwan, of Bournea Parish, County Tipperary, Ireland. She had a daughter, Ann who by 1868 or 1869 was married to Thomas Lanigan, living in the same place. Ann's brother, John Kirwan, emigrated to America in 1861 and moved his family to Ohio (Clinton County) then Missouri then Nebraska. There were Scanlons related somehow. I don't know if Ann Kirwan and Thomas Lanigan had children, or whether they emigrated to America. The last I know of them are letters from the years mentioned above.
