I am searching for information on the Lansdale family in Scott County, Ms in 1850 and 1860.
1860 :
Isaac (C)? Lansdale age 30 Male b in AL
Bashaby " " 19 F " GA
Sarah " " 3 F " MS
Julia " 2 F "
John " 60 M SC
Julia " 50 F
Wm. 21 M Al
Julia 11 F MS
Jane(?) 10 F MS
John 8 M Al
I am trying to find my great grandfather. He was born ca 1861 and his name was Jefferson Davis lansdale. I know he had two sisters named Sarah and Julia. I think this is his family. If you know something would you please write me.
Where was this family in 1870?
Supposedly his father died in the Civil war and he and his mom went to Arkansas to live with lansdale folk. Unfortunately I cannot find anything to tie him to a fmaily, such as Mom's grave, so I do not know her name. I do not know his fathers name and there are many Lansdale Men who fought in the civil war. Am wondering if his dad enlisted in LA.
