Lansdales of Lansdale Borough, PA
Posted by: Brenda Hawkins Date: April 22, 2001 at 00:14:45

Am looking for information to corroborate our Lansdale Oral History that says Lansdale, Pennsylvania was named for or by one of our Lansdale ancestors, and that our original Lansdales in America came over with the Pilgrims.

Don't have many times or dates to offer at this point (just starting on this line) but will give what I have: (Will probably have more within the week)

Father of Ludwell Dyson Lansdale III, b 1947, was Ludwell Dyson Lansdale II (of course) b. abt. 1922 in OK or AR. Married Arlene "Bootie" (maiden name unk), of Texas.

Father of Lansdale II, was Ludwell Dyson Lansdale "the first", unknown place of birth at this time. Will know more later this week.

Wanted to post this now so that if anyone is aware of any Lansdale ancestors that claim relations to those that named Lansdale, PA, we could get a headstart on finding matches and sharing data.

Thanks much,

Brenda
