Dan, There are not a lot of posts to this forum but you should check out the Lapan forum over on ancestry. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=an&p=surnames.lapan I think we had corresponded at one time about Mackin. I found Daniel in the 1920 census as Makin, with wife Margrette, age 21, daughter Catherine (age 4), sons Daniel (age 3) and Robert (age 10/12). So that would make Margrette born about 1899 as you said. I would think her name would really be Marguerite or Margaret. I do have a Marguerite (Toot) Sophrona Lapan married to a Daniel P. Marbois (?). She was born in 1898 and married Daniel 24 November 1914 in Highgate. When I looked at the record, I could not read the last name. Her parents are Ectos Hector C Lapan and Dolly Adeline Ellen Keenan. When I look at the census record the Makin looks like Marbois so perhaps this is the person you are looking for. Next time I go to the libary, I will look up the marriage again. Do you have any information on Daniel's family - ie his father? Charlene Notify Administrator about this message?
