Mathias LAPE, b. abt 1843, Sand Lake, NY

My Mathias LAPE (age 8) is first found in 1850 census in Sand Lake, NY living with (mother?)Elizabeth (age 42), a William age 19; Margaret age 12, and Henrietta age 5. In 1855 William is gone, but John WHEELER is listed as Elizabeth's son-in-law with gr.child Herman/Harmon. In 1860 they are listed in Schodack, but Margaret is gone and John Wheeler & child are still there. Seems like Henrietta married Wheeler in 1862. I find Mathias married w/children to 3 different wives over the years. My connection is through his 3rd marriage to Phoebe Sheple/Shiple. Trying to find Mathias' father unsuccessfully. How does he fit in with the Andries Lape lineage from Rennselaer County? Can any Lapes out there fit him in?
