Lapid means torch. The dictionart says its origin may be from Akkadian : DIPARU or from Greek : LAMPUS.

Lapidot seems to be the husband of prophet Devora:
'And Dvora, a prophet woman, wife of Lapidot'.

'Eshet Lapidot' [where lapidot is an agjective], means
a talent and successful woman, full of energy, who can do all her duties and meny other jobs on the best way.
