Antone Laplante
Hi everyone,
For years, I have been blocked in my personal genealogy at the following couple:
Antoine Laplante married early 1800s to Charlotte Paré-Barré-Barr-Barry.
Their daughter Élisabeth Laplante (Antoine m. Charlotte Paré-Barré-Barr-Barry) m. 24 april 1826 St-Timothée, QC to Joseph Potvin (Pierre m. Anne Renaud).
I have a note to file saying that "Charlotte originated from Boston and would have emigrated to Quebec in March 1794". I have no source for this statement as I received it in my early days on the net (a century ago!...) and didn't keep the email(mea culpa).
If indeed Charlotte came from Boston (new England?), I suspect she and Antoine may have been married in the US as there is no marriage for them in Quebec.
Any help you can provide will be a Godsend, thank you. Any data will do. Have you ever seen this couple? Seems like they have been in an early witness protection program.
