Ken Larabee, Germany and the Larabee

Dear Ken Larabee
I was hoping you could help me. I understand that you have traded E mails with Edie Staab (my husbands aunt) and I understand there is a Larabee connection there between your line and ours. I was once told that the Larabee's came from Germany to France and then to the USA. I was curious if you knew where in Germany they may have been even if you don't have any specifics. My husband visited Germany about a year ago (before he knew of the connection there) and felt as if he knew the place while he was in Germany.
My husband is getting ready to go back to Germany in Dec. and if you knew of a region or town that they may have been I am curious what he might be able to find if he takes a little side trip and polks around a bit.
Thank you for any help you may have.
Florence Larabee
