Hi Karen, just now reading your email message. Yes you are right, we do have some of the same lines. My Larabee surname stops with Susannah Larabee. She married my gg grandfather Harvey BLAKELEY, abt. 1829 in Cranberry, Butler, PA. Susannah died about 1851 in Mason City, Mason, IL. Susannah passed away and he married secondly Susanna Ballinger 10 Jul 1856 in Athens Co., OH.

Do you have the following?

There is no record of the marriage of BETHIA SNOW to ASAPH LARABEE other than the will of her father, SETH SNOW Sr. I include a copy of that Will below for your information. It names as one of SETH's daughters "BETHIA the wife of ASAPH LARABEE." Actually, this was BETHIA's second marriage, the first one being to CALEB RICHMOND in 1788 who died only 2 years later. (I quote the references below.) BETHIA and ASAPH were probably married in Pownal, VT because that is where ASAPH was living at the time. I have estimated the date of this marriage as about 1792/3 based on fact ASAPH LARABEE Jr. was born 1794 according to application he made for War of 1812 compensation (in 1856). This ASAPH Jr is the closest to being a "proven" child of ASAPH and BETHIA - no birth record, but the uniqueness of the name and coincidence of his residence and other data are compelling. The only other child for whom we have a published record is BETSEY LARABEE, named as granddaughter in SETH SNOW's will.

Keep in touch. Glenda
