My father Lester Larabee who wasborn in Greendale Ohio where his father worked til they moved to Logan,Ohio..His birth records and that of his father and mother were destroyed in an Athens county courthouse fire. His brother Carl is Eighty two and has more information. His father and mother my grandmother and grandfather are buried in a cemetary in lancaster, ohio. Somewhere near Geendale is a cemetary where his great grandmother and grandfather are buired. I just fell into this site but have been to Gallia last summer...Silas is a name my father mentioned to me once...but dad passed on last new years....i may try to ask his brother about the name. Most of my early family on my dads side worked the coal mines in Athens co. or made brick and tile. My father and his brother ended up building planes for Curtis Write and North American Aviation. Hope there is a connection will reseach and get back to you....JOhn
