I am not related directly to them, but do have quite a bit of information since my grandfather's first marriage was to Jenny Lounsbury. Recently, I have found graves in a cemetery that is no longer used, and that's what connected me to Laramores. Phebe, after having several babies which did not live long, died 19 Jul 1873, buried Cartwright Cem,Douglas Co, IL.(age 30y 8m 1d). Daniel Lounsbury,Sr and Jr. are buried at Lower Lester Cem, Douglas Co, IL, as well as 2 Laramore children, Charley & Everett. All this can be found at FindaGrave.com. Another child was buried at Cartwright, died day after its mother. When pulled the 1870 census, it indicated they had a dau, Eva M, abt 2 yrs.
I couldn't find anyone who took her to raise after Mom died. Found Isaac in Kansas in 1930.
Cartwright Cem was established in 1872, so that explains why anyone dying before that time was buried at Lower Lester, being good acquaintances of the Lester Family. The rest of the family is almost all buried at Cartwright. There were alot of deaths between 1870-1875. Don't know the cause.
I know you posted this a long time ago, but if you still need more info, pls respond. I'll give you all the details I can and have some photos also.
How are you related to Lounsburys?Clara
