My maternal grandfather was John Lard, brother to your grandfather. I have been in touch with relatives of two other brothers, Everett and Samuel. Samuel's relative actually has the family Bible belonging to Mary Stroud Lard, the boys mother. Another connection that I have is to Frank Jones. He and his wife, Alice Lard (sister to the boys), raised Florus, John, and Everett after their mother remarried and moved to Oklahoma. Frank Jones is a fraternal gg uncle. I just recently discovered that my father's side of the family raised my mother's father!

Have you ever heard anything about the Laird book you inquired about?
