I was searching the Internet for friend (Cornelius Laird)that I knew when I was in college at the University of Texas at Austin in 1971-1972. He was a poet, very talented composer and excentric character about 40 years old? at the time. I know that he came from the East Coast and I believe that he moved to Maine some time in the mid or late 70's. I believe that his middle initial was V. He managed an apartment complex near the university, wrote intricate, baroque musical compositions and played the piano like a genius. I am still looking for him as I would like to know where he is now. He would be hard to find as he did not have a car and he shared with others any money or food that he had over and above what it took for him to live a simple life.

I still have a copy of one of his poems and a picture of a beautiful flower garden that he planted where he was living.
