1850 Census for Wyoming County NY has my gt gt
grandfather, James Lard (1790-1868), listing his place of birth as CT. It may be possible that he was a grandson of David Lard who emigrated to Hartford CT ca. 1770 and died in the Rev War, and son of David Lard, brother of Samuel, who was born about 1771.
Does anyone have a history of these Lards?
