lares family

My fathers aunt married a man named Lares. Her name was Ann Ryan and they lived in NYC around the 1890,s when their children were born. They had Francis, James, Margaret and Paul. I never heard that he was hispanic and you are the first people I have come across with that name. As far as I know the family is Irish but I really only surmise this since New york at that time was very Irish and the Mothers name was Ryan. Could there be a connection. Genny Ryan-
