Hi Pamela Dorris: My father gave a photocopied booklet of the Larochelle "clan"
and over the years I've been dabbling away.
But now that my daughters are studying families in school have I just started a renewed interest. the booklet is called
RECUEIL DE GENEALOGIES
des comtes de-
Beauce - Dorchester - Frontenac
1625-1946
Tome VI
Tome VIFrere Eloi-Gerard, B.A., B.P. mariste
Frere Eloi-Gerard, B.A., B.P. maristeblah blah blah
blah blah blahCollege du Sacre-CoeurBeauceville P.Q.
College du Sacre-CoeurBeauceville P.Q.Anyway this is the first time I've surfed into these waters and since yours was the first posting I read, your is the first I've looked up. One problem with this booklet is that first, it's in French and mine sucks,
two the layout leaves much to be desired in
deciphering it's content.
First we're not related, too closely anyway.
OK So this is what I have:
one caveat: since I'm going by what's in front of me and have no bon frere to correct me, please use this info as a guideline to help further your search:
Eugene Larochelle married a Diana Letourneau
in St. Prosper Quebec on July 6 1925
his parents: Fortunat Larochelle was married to a Georgiana Vallee on November 11, 1902 in
St. Elzear. and if I'm correct Fortunat had a brother Berenisse who was married to a Amedee Drouin on Aug 9 1894 in St. Bernard. There's a few accent e gueues on those names and places but I just wanted to get something out to you since it's past my bedtime. Let me know if you've found anything to corroberate
what I've sent you. I'm sure it's correct and
once I figure this book out it gives all the names all the way back to the Larochelle in Canada in the 1650 and two gens back into France. I used it with my Dad's help to do our back to Michel Larochelle. but to start figuring out the branches, woof I'll need help from someone who know how to read this
thing...
anyway let me know
