Vivian M. Miller, 93 of Waldoboro passed away Jan 6 at the Shore Village Nursing Center in Rockland.
She was born Feb. 20, 1910 in Waldoboro, daughter of Frank and Alice Smith Larrabe. Raised in Friendship, Vivian attended local schools, later working for the local fish factories, Forty Fathom in Rockland, Friendship Clam Factory, Black and Gay Clam Factory in Thomaston and the Lubec Canning Company as well as the Paragon Button Factory.
She and her husband, Lemuel, worked together to deliver mail by pony express from Friendship to Thomaston, eventually delivering by mail truck.
She was a member of the Achorn Grange and the Pythian Sisters and past-president of the Spanish American War Auxiliary.
She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sailing, riding about in vehicles and spending time with her Siamese cats.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lemuel Miller and daughter, Gloria Mank.
Survived by, her son Lemuel M. Miller of Waldoboro, Marjory Donnell and husband, Philip, of Vernon, Conn; Esther Mank and husband, Floyd, of Warren; Verleigh Sanborn and husband, Daniel, of Waldoboro; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Jan. 9 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro. Funeral service 1 p.m., Sat., Jan. 10 at the Hall Funeral Home.
