Carol,

I know I've sent emails to you before. I'm still at a loss with my Larance/Lawrence family.

My great grandfather is James A. Washington Lawrence. The only documentation I have on him is the marriage certificate where he married Susannah White on 7 April 1892 in Bagnell, Miller, Missouri.

I do believe that I may have found him in the 1880 census of Franklin Twp., Miller County, Missouri. Here is how that census appears:

William Larance - 46 born in Kentucky
Eve A. - 35 born in Missouri
S.J. (f) - 16 born in Missouri
M.A. (f) - 14 born in Missouri
S.G. (M) - 12 born in Missouri
J.A. (m) - 11 born in Missouri
R.L. (f) - 2 born in Missouri
J.A. Latell (m) 50 born in Missouri

I believe that the J.A. who is 11 is possibly my James A. Lawrence. The first child born to James and Susannah is my grandmother Birdie (Elizabeth Ann) and on her death certificate it says that she was born in Springfield, Missouri. I've also heard she was born in Bagnell, MO.

Can you or anyone help me with this man? I really NEED to find out more about my great grandfather.

Thanks for your time.

Susan R. Richards
