There is no "Farmland", Sweden. Someone must have misheard or misread Värmland. Värmland is both a province and a county in Sweden.

I see this person on the Emibas CD. Emibas was made from registrations in the Swedish parish to go to a foreign country. It is about 75% complete.

This person is listed with a different last name than you would expect, but his father was a Larsson, so I think he is probably yours.

Sillerud is a parish name. Records in Sweden were kept in the parish.

Parents of Anders (Andrew is not a Swedish name.) Larsson were Alexander Larsson and his wife, Brita Lisa Olsdotter. The mother was 37 years old. The parents had been married for 10 years. The father's occupation was owner. They lived at Torgelsbyn? in the parish.

I don't know where the husband/father was in 1890.

I also checked the 1890 Swedish Census CD for a person named And* born 1882 in Värmland county with a father named Lars something or with a father whose last name was Larsson. The hits were then checked for a birthdate, using Genline. No other Anders born 1882 in Värmland county with a father named Lars or a father with Larsson as a last name had the same birthdate you provided.

It seems quite likely that this Anders is yours, unless your Anders emigrated before the end of 1890. (The census information is for the end of the year.)

Alexandersson is a typical patronymic last name, based on the given name of the father. At this time period, many kept their father's patronymic name. His moving out papers must have used Alexandersson but maybe he preferred using his father's last name. That is common at that time period.

I am not related.

Judy
