Douglas, I'm just getting into my genealogy records again after a 4 year hiatus so I'm not sure where my "Larson" book is at the moment but I thought I'd pass on a couple comments.First, Christina is the English version of Kristin or Kirsten or Kerstin.Second, in all my Swedish ancestors, I've never come across one with the name "Carolina" - none of the Swedish born women in my tree even have a middle name.Looking at her name with these two things in mind might help you find more records.
Info I do have available in my genealogy program is as follows:
My g-grandmother, Kirsten Hansdotter (known in the US as Christina Larson) immigrated to the US in 1870, when she was only 6 months old so she can't be your ancestor. But, I can't help but wonder if there's any possibility that her father was the brother you speak of.His name was Hilas Ullus Hans Larsson, b May 10, 1826 in Mickelval, Kopparberg, Sweden. When he brought his family to the US, they settled in Minnesota.Hilas had a sister, Kerstin Larsdotter, b October 8, 1823 who lived until at least 1889.It's probably quite a stretch since there are so many Larsons (Larssons) and the birth year is 17 years off, but thought I'd let you know anyway.
Good luck on your search!Shelley
