Lash or Laschinsky/Laschinsky

Hey, I was just told recently that my great grandmother had always said our last name used to be Laschinski(spelling?) but was changed sometime, I'm guessing when our ancestors immigrated over here. Does anyone have any information?

p.s. we're from the Massillon, Ohio region
