Hi Lois: I found the cemetery record concerning Robert Nelson, who died 17 August 1872, and is buried in the Silver Lake cemetery. Next to Robert's grave is buried a son George Nelson, who died 11 June, 1865, and lists him as a Civil War Vet. Next to George Nelson's gave is a Susanna E. Brandt, daughter of S.A. & C., with the rest of the stone being illegeble. On the other side of the Susanna grave site is buried Henrietta Nelson, who died 25 June 1873, age 30 years, 7 months and 17 days. So you have this Susanna Brandt being buried between two Nelsons, and your Robert Nelson's grave only being separated from this Susanna's grave by his son George. Could Susanna have married a Brandt after Robert's death, and maybe there is no Lash connection?
