Thanks for the reply. Since I posted my question, I've been able to track my family from Williams, to Defiance, to Wayne, and to Belmont Co in Ohio. The trail ulimately leads to a Jacob Lash (Loesch) who came to the U.S. (colonies to exact) in 1740. He settled in NJ then in Washington Co., PA. He had one son who had 10 kids some of which I believe settled in Ashland Co. These folks aren't directly in my line, but relatives none the less. Interested to here what you have. Ultimately I'd like to have enough of the family mapped out to see if some of the Lash's I've ran into in Indiana are relation. Joel
