Hi Kenneth,
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Philip LASH, my gggg-grandfather, died in 1871 in Allen Co., Kansas. He is buried in Campbell Cemetery near Chanute. This is very interesting because Susannah, Philip's wife died in McLean Co. Illinois in 1866. I have Catherine's death listed as 1870 in Indiana. I don't know why either of them would be in Illinois. I haven't found that connection yet. I would love to have a copy (or transpcription) of that letter, because it makes the connection between Philip and John as brothers which I have never been able to do.

How are you related?
