It appears to me that this George Lash may be related to my ancestor, William Lash (b. abt 1816) of Ohio/Bloomington, McLean, Illinois. William moved to McLean, but evidently died there about 1853. His widow, Julianna Barber Lash returned to Ohio and lived in Union Co. with her sons. She married a man named Sandles who was already married and had to get a divorce. Her divorce notice in the newspaper asked for depositions to be given at the Licking Co. courthouse. There are also two others I've been eyeing - Henry and Isaac Lash. They also moved from Ohio to McLean Co. IL. Do you know if these men - William, George, Henry and Isaac - were brothers? And if so, who was their father and mother? George lived in Knox Co. in 1850 and Illinois in 1860. I don't see him after 1865. Isaac lived until 1903. Henry is in the census until 1870.
