Dan: Your grandmother Mayme Lassen Gill was my dad Elmer Lassen's cousin. Elmer's dad Severt Lassen and Mayme's dad Henry (brothers, age 16 and 15) came to the US together from Meggerdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, in 1891. We have found the ship passenger list online. I believe somewhere in my parent's photo collection there is a photo of Mayme & your great-grandfather -- it might be a wedding picture. In later years my dad didn't know of the whereabouts of Frank Gill. If you're interested in the photo, let me know, and I will try to locate it again for you. (Severt & Henry's parents in Germany were Heinrich Lassen and Katrina Friedrichsen, according to what I've found.) Pat Lassen Bolte
