Sorry, about the confusion. Muffie is a friend and we both had talked about our grandfather, Dewitt Clinton Mallory and Dewitt Clinton LaTourette. I assumed her DWC was in her direct line, and asked her briefly if DWC was her great grandfather again. She said she thought so, but I should have double checked. You have it correct.
Muffie was Juliette...though she has never gone by that name. She has a sister, Maria or Marie... don't know if she was actually Melinda...but it wouldn't surprise me. Maria LaTourette Black lives in Santa Barbara. They also have a brother John that lives in France.
Jeff Miller, son of John R's sister, is the family historian and held a LaTourette reunion as his place near Portland last summer or the summer prior. He is a portland architect.
I put the obit on as a favor to Muffie and added some of the data, then had to correct it. Too darn many Latourettes on the Oregon City census, and at least two of their homes on the historic register.
Several of the Mercereaus live in Oregon,too.
I have seen the Hoadley name while researching the Mallorys...was that you?
