Dear Norma, I am responding to your posting per John LaTourette's request. I was able to locate one connection (and another one is a Grace Boyce born 1906 in Monmouth Co., NJ who married Chester Thomas Huff whose mother was Alma J. La Tourette): I have a George Bethune Boice born Feb. 1829 in NY and died Dec. 10, 1910 (see note at very bottom - could be incorrect!). He married Margaret Ann Zabriski on Sept. 6, 1855 at Bergen Point, NJ. They had two children - Annie La Tourette Boice (Dec. 1856-1927)who married Philetus Theodore Pockman and had at least 6 children - one Theodore Niver Pockman had 2 children in NYC. The other child was Georgiana Boice who aparently was born in Maine in Feb. 1860 and single in 1900 census. Margaret Ann Zabriski's parents were Michael Albert Zabriskie and Anna MacIntyre La Tourette and had a large family of 11 children. Michael, who went by Albert, was a wealthy farmer in Bayonne, NJ with an estate worth in excess of $100,000.00 when he died in the 1860. Anna's parents were Capt. David Latourette and Margaret MacIntyre. It is this David who owned the "Latourette House Hotel" at Bergen Point, a famous resort for many years facing Mariner's Harbor on Staten Island which was torn down in the teens. David was also very wealthy for the time (census of 1860 has real and personal estate worth $140,000.00). Paul's parents were Capt. David Latourette and Mary Van Pelt. His parents were Paul Latourette and Sarah Merrill (my direct ancestors), his parents were Jean Latourrette and Marie Mercereau, and his parents were the immigrants Jean La tourrette and Marie Mercereau (cousins). I have George Bethune Boice's parents as Ira Condict Boice and Micah Polhemus Smock - I noted nothing else but their names (no dates, places, etc). Notes I have on George: In the 1880 census for Newark, Essex Co., NJ George B., Margaret, Annie and Georgia are residing as boarders in the home of Matthew Blood from NH. Not sure why? There is a George G. Boice listed in the Clinton Ave., Reform Chuch of Newark 1893-4. He is listed under Sexton, Fuel and Lights as an Elder, as well as a pew holder, and also as a member: George B. Boice, Mrs. Margaret A. Boice and Miss Georgiana Boice, date of admission was Sept. 29, 1887 for all three and also their residence is 23 Hill Street. On the same page is Matthew Blood (see above reg. 1880 census). Residing with daughter Annies family in the 1900 and 1910 census. I am not sure where I obtained the 1900 death date? It is incorrect for he was living in 1910. So I changed the date from 1900 to 1910 with same month and day. Not sure this helps or not, but it is interesting....
