Phinela Lattin

Hope someone can help me with this. I have been given the information that Phinela Lattin was married to William Cross (born in the U.S. abt. 1773 place unknown). William had a son born in the U.S. Dec. 1797 by the name of James who married Katherine Reid. Phinela may or may not have been his mother. I am tracing James Cross. This is my husband's line and I would love to be able to move 1 or 2 generations back.

William died in Durham township, Quebec, Canada. I do not know where they originated from in the U.S. (though New Hampshire was suggested as a possibility) nor do I have concrete tie-in to Phinela being William Cross's wife at the time of James' birth. James was in 1831 Durham township census with wife Katherine.

Would be interested in Phinela and William's marriage date/place as well as parent information (as wish lists go this is a tall one). I do plan on checking the Missisquoi Census records during my next trip to Quebec area library as they apparently stopped there before going north to Durham.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this posting. It goes without saying that I would be glad to help anyone wherever I can.

Happy Hunting to all.

Ontario Canada.
