Yes, there are a couple in Yorkshire but more up Northumberland where my family lives. We live in Bedlington (15 miles north of Newcastle-upon-tyne) but the family originally came from Blyth (4 miles south-west of Bedlington). I seem to remember about 10-20 other Lattys in the area although I don't know them personally my family do.

Once when I was in Vienna, Austria an Estonian man told me that it was a Finnish or Estonian name as he knew of number of Lattys back in his home land. I haven't chased this up but am always on the lookout.

All the best,
Martyn Latty
