Friedrich and his wife Dorothea Elizabeth TEICHERT were from Lippen in Silesia. Both were born in 1811 or 1812. I believe that Lippen is now spelt Lipiny. It is in Poland, northeast of Nowa Sol. Friedrich and Dorothea came to South Australia with five children in 1854 aboard the "Steinwarder".
Does anyone have connections to the Laubes at Lippen? What is the meaning of the Laube name? Does anyone have any historical or curent information about Lippen/Lipiny?
