There was a "not entirely legal" gambling club in Cicero, Illinois named "Lauderbachs" in the 1920s. It was one of the largest in the country, and one of a few that Al Capone allowed to operate without interference.
I am currently researching these Illinois gambling clubs and thought you might have some connection with that Lauderbach family. if so, I'd be happy to exchange information.
