Larry, I'm sorry for the delay in responding. I have a document that is an extract of entries in an Old Parochial Register from the Parish of St. Andrews, County of Orkney. It documents the marriage date of Thomas Redland and Barbara Laughton as 11 November 1667. I also had a response from Scots Orgins of the same marriage date for Barbara Laughton. I have no doubt of this event as it comes from parish records. I have references to Thomas and Barabara having a son, Magnus Redland, being christened 6 Sep 1674. I show Edward Redland, born abt. 1665, c. 22 Aug 1669, father: Thomas Redland There are other children. I think the information you have is from WFT??? I have written to the person who contributed that information to WFT (on 5 Jan 2001) and not received a response. I therefore question the credibility of the information provided on those CDs. I am still at e-mail address modmob@thevision.net I am more than happy to correspond in more detail and share information. Please let me know if I helped or confused you.
