Hi Mike, You and I have been in contact previously on your website...The Laughton website. Since that time I have hooked up with a British gentleman,Peter Surgey, who it turns out is directly related to me!!! He lives in Dunstable, Beds., England. I met him through an English genealogy website near Gainsborough, England(where my ancestors come from). It turns out that his great-great-grandmother and my great-great-grandfather were brother and sister. This was truly a chance meeting between he and I. Just goes to prove that sometimes you hit the proverbial "jackpot".

I live in King City, California. Not sure about your Captain James Laughton. Right now Peter and I are searching for our common relatives in and around Lincolnshire County in England. We've managed to go back two more generations but are having trouble doing the cross-checks. It can be frustrating at times.

John S. Laughton(I go by Steve, my middle name)
