Hi John,

I am researching my ggggrandparents in Gainsborough, Lincs, and I think I may have one of your Laughtons as a ggg-grandmother? Her name was Hannah Laughton and she married John Harrison on 14th July 1811 at Gainsborough. I am not sure how many children they had but I know they had one son - John Harrison - my gg-grandfather, who's profession was a "waterman" and I believe was born sometime around 1818 in Gains, he later married Rebecca Plumber/Plummer in 1840. John Harrison's father (John harrison senior) was noted on John juniors marriage certificate as a mariner so I wondered if this means they both worked on the river? If you have any info that could help please do not hesitate to get in touch! Thanks in anticipation, Nancy.
