I do think this is the same William that is the father of John Allen Laughton from Denniville, Maine. Some times said of lubec. This family ended up in Newmarket NH after the Civil war. John was in the Army under the name Lawton, I would like to give you some more informations but I just got a new PC and the information is still sitting on a floppy disk and the new PC's do not use them so I have to wait to feed in my info. Check out the Seaman family on this site. These people came from Maine and some names to look into are Seaman, Wilcox from North of Eastport in places like cary, Maine.
