Always willing to compare notes about Laughton's. My line I can trace back to Captain James Laughton, a merchant sea captain who was born somewhere outside North America about 1750 and settled in NYC about 1788. He supposedly was lost at sea in the early 1800s. His wife was Mary (or Marie) Delzell. They had 3 daughters and one son, John Edward Laughton who lived 1802-1868. John Edward Laughton moved to Richmond and had loads of kids. Those kids had loads of kids too. Most settled on the east coast from NJ to Virginia.I grew up in Maryland and also have notes on various Laughton families I'm not related to. Feel free to contact me.

Visit Laughton.com for lots of Laughton info.

Mike
