Dorothy Lauricella - New Haven, Connecticut
Posted by: Nicholas Howard (ID *****4560) Date: March 27, 2002 at 20:02:48

Is anyone familiar with Dorothy B. Lauricella, Birth: 25 Dec 1900, Death: 8 Sep 2001? At the time of her death, she resided at New Haven, Connecticut. She also received her Social Security card in Connecticut in the 1950s.

My grandfather's nephew was Stephen Donahue (1893-1982), who was an auxilliary bishop in the New York Catholic Archdiocese from 1934 until his retirement in 1972. Obituaries for Bishop Donahue in The New York Times and The New York Catholic indicate that he was survived by a sister, Dorothy Lauricella. The Social Security death indices show three Dorothy Lauricellas who have died: one in Connecticut, one in Illinois, and one in California. The ones in Illinois and California were born in the 1920s, making it unlikely that either of them could have been Bishop Donahue's sister.

Please let me know if any of this information rings a bell.
