Dear Christine: My grandmother, Arthemise Beaulieu, was born in 1883 in Cacouna, Quebec. She had a younger sister, Blanche. Their father is "unknown" Beaulieu. He married a widow with children; the widow and her children were Roman Catholic; Arthemise's and Blanche's father(unknown Beaulieu) was a convert to Protestantism, probably Presbyterian(?). Arthemise married Theophile Laurin M.D.,about whom I know a great deal--the 1881 census was very helpful and I have tracked down records of his medical training in the US and Canada. Theophile and ARthemise settled in Mass., and I visited them as a child.
Thank you for your offer of help. I really appreciate it. I want to find out about Unknown Beaulieu, the father of ARthemise and Blanche.
