Dann,
Thx for the followup.Yes I have seen the list for Rochester Cemetery in addition to making quite a few trips to the old cemetery. It is well worth the drive. My great-great grandmother Elizabeth Lovellette Black, wife of Thomas Black, is buried there close to her mother, Margaret (Agnes) Tugaw.Thomas Black remarried to a woman from Gibson Co., IN and they had one child who grew up to marry and have one child, and both died, there ending that 2nd line.
My line from Elizabeth Lovellete Black is prolific but carrying other surnames because the women lost their French surname when marrying.
I was always told my great-grandmother, Alexzeen Black, was French. They never gave up "being French" even though they lost the surname.
