You may have some of this information already. I've got it in a rough order by years so let's have a go at it.

Marriages of Rutherford County, NC 1779-1868 lists James Lawing and Sarah Watkins (the parents of William Ambrose) as being married on 27 Nov 1833; Isaac Harris, bm. Further, North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 lists the bond date as 27 Nov 1833; bond #000134648; County: Rutherford; Record # 01180; Bondsman Isaac Harriss; Witness: T. F. Birchett, C.

In 1850 we find James and Sarah Lawing in the census listing for ____, McDowell, North Carolina.

James Lawing 40 M Blacksmith
Sarah 38 F
Andrew 15 M
William 13 M
Elizabeth 11 F
Susan 9 F
James 6 M
Sarah 5 F (age was hard to read, may be twin)
Ambrose 5 M
Nancy 3 F
Mary 1 F

By 1850, Mary Frady, age 29, b. abt 1821 in Sary. In the census for that year, Thomas H. Frady, age 46 and family are residing in Tennessee Valley, Macon, North Carolina. Listed with them are two sons:

Henry J. Frady 16 M
Geo. w. Frady 14 M

*There should have been one more children, but I absolutely could not read it.

In 1860 we find the Frady family Georgia Militia District 844, Fannin, Georgia. Their birthplace is listed as North Carolina and their post office as Stock Hill. They are listed as such:

Thos. Frady 45 M Mining Hound
Mary 49 F
Henry 25 M
Jackson 21 M
Layfayett 18 M
Telitha 15 F
Louisa 13 F
Samantha 5 F
Mahaley 3 M

I need to take a break. I have more information - will send later. I hope this has been of some help.
