I found a website (http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/w/i/l/Sharon-H-Williams/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0648.html) that provides some more detailed information about the children of William Ambrose Lawing and Louisa L. Frady and their children as well as Louisa Frady's parents. I happened upon it much the way I did this website (by googling). I was trying to determine if any of their names came up on the Cherokee rolls because my grandfather told us that William Ambrose had been full-blooded Cherokee. All these last names do appear on the Cherokee rolls just not his. I was trying to find out more. My father's cousin Mike Olvey knows a good deal more than I do, perhaps he could get involved too. I was told that William Ambrose fought for the North during the Civil War but the only military records I could find with that name are Confederate. I'm just not sure. There is more than one William Ambrose Lawing out there. If I find out anything more, I will share it. In the meantime, check out this other website. I think it may add a bit more to the puzzle. Elisa
