My family came to Philadelphia in late 19th century. The only lead we have is the marriage of John Lawlor to Mary Sanford in Rathdowney, County Loiase in 1862 or 63. My grandfather was Thomas Patrick Lawlor and his wife was Ida. Mary Lawlor married into the O'Leary family in Long Island in the twenties. They have 3 generations of NY policemen. My dad, Thomas Enos Lawlor married Margaret Olive Richardson in the twenties. He had three younger sisters. They lived in the Tacony section of Philly. I have traveled in Ireland and checked in the Dublin Library and in one of the churches in Rathdowney without success. I do know that there are thousands of Lawlors in Ireland. Thanks!!!
